This 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe SE brings something that's getting harder to find in a family SUV: a naturally aspirated 290-hp V6, three usable rows and room for seven without moving into something enormous.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen, power driver seat, dual-zone climate control and rear parking sensors cover the everyday conveniences. The second row slides and reclines, the third row folds 50/50, and dedicated rear climate controls help keep a full cabin comfortable.

There's useful capability here, too. Drive Mode Select, Hillstart Assist and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity give the Santa Fe some muscle beyond school and grocery duty. With V6 power, flexible three-row seating and real towing ability, this is the kind of SUV that can carry the family all week and still have something left for a boat or trailer when Saturday rolls around.
